Watersheds in the National Forest System may suffer adverse effects from changing air quality or land uses. Monitoring and testing lakes and streams for the effects of air pollution requires clean, high-quality water samples for analysis. "Collecting Water Samples for Chemical Analysis: Streams" (0825-2F02-MTDC) helps users understand how to locate sample sites, how to collect and handle water samples, and how to measure stream discharge, width, depth, and temperature.
