Presenting information at recreation sites and backcountry trailheads reflects the Forest Service motto, Caring for the Land and Serving People. Negative wording on posters, inconsistency of poster arrangements, and lack of consideration for persons with disabilities often leave negative imprints in the minds of forest visitors. The challenge is to produce a display that will be instructional, informative, graphically pleasing, and convey a lasting positive impression.
