This DVD shows how the use of mechanized trail building equipment can help recreation managers protect natural resources and provide more recreational opportunity for the public. Crews using mechanized equipment can compelte one mile of trail in the time it would take a trail crew to build ¼ mile of trail. The DVD's sections include: Introduction to Mechanized Trail Equipment, Advantages and Misconceptions of Mechanized Equipment, Planning for Mechanized Equipment, Mini-excavator, Trail Dozer, Training, and Summary.

The DVD was originally produced in 2000 as a VHS video by the San Dimas Technology and Development Center (0023-1401-SDTDC). In 2010, the Missoula Technology and Development Center had the video digitized and released it as a DVD.
