The National Forest Foundation, in partnership with the Forest Service, held a series of partner feedback sessions virtually and at several Forest Service units across the nation in September and October. The sessions were designed to raise awareness of the FPM effort and solicit partner input on how we can streamline our business practices for delivering forest products. Forest Service leadership shared preliminary solution ideas as well as actions that are planned or already related to timber sale contracting and permitting, appraisals, sale layout and scaling and accountability, among other topics. Following the virtual presentation, each FS unit hosted an on-site dialogue with partners to discuss issues specific to their regions.
- Four sessions were held:National session – September 11th, Washington, DC
- Western session (Regions 5, 6, and 10) – October 10th
- Central session (Regions 1, 2, 3, and 4) – October 11th
- Eastern session (Regions 8 and 9) – October 12th
