Description

Members of the Southwest Watershed Science Team worked with students at the University of Arizona and the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest to research impacts of the 2002 Rodeo-Chediski Wildfire in northern Arizona. They compared ecosystem conditions, hydrologic functioning, and fuel loads between two watersheds dominated by ponderosa pine forests--one watershed that burned primarily with high-severity and another primarily with low-severity fire. These presentations outline their research findings and include photographs from during and after the fire.
