Title: S_R03_COR.Wildlife_Feature_pl
Geospatial_Data_Presentation_Form: vector digital data
Description:
Abstract:
A feature class depicting information related to terrestrial wildlife feature polygons. A wildlife feature is a mapable object that is important to terrestrial wildlife. It has locational, relational, temporal and tabular characteristics, and is typically re-evaluated (visited) over time. As a GIS point or polygon, a feature can move, change shape, change attributes, disappear and reappear. The wild_ftr coverages contain current features and the wld_ftrhst coverages contain historical features. The coverage is automatically generated and maintained by the NRIS Fauna application. There is currently a one to one correspondence between spatial features and Oracle records. For ease of use the data in Oracle is automatically joined to the coverage. The Oracle view, WILDLIFE_FEATURES_VW, described in this dictionary is used to populate the feature attribute tables of the coverages. You can find the data dictionary at <http://fsweb.datamgt.fs.fed.us/documents/current_data_dictionary/wildlife/> wl04s.htm. The coverage was exported from Fauna and brought into the geodatabase. Associated National Application: Natural Resource Information System (NRIS) Fauna <http://fsweb.nris.fs.fed.us/products/fauna/index.shtml>
Purpose:
The purpose of this feature class is to depict the wildlife feature polygons on the Coronado National Forest.

Comparison with other data sets for the same area from other time periods may be inaccurate due to inconsistencies resulting from changes in photointerpretation, rounding of decimal coordinates during conversion, and mapping conventions over time. Any hardcopies utilizing these data sets shall clearly indicate their source. If the user has modified the data in any way they are obligated to describe the types of modifications they have performed on the hardcopy map. The user specifically agrees not to misrepresent these data sets, nor to imply that changes made were approved by the USFS.
