Regional forester meets with Mississippi stakeholders

On March 21, Regional Forester Tony Tooke met with 50 key external stakeholders, including congressional staffers and leaders from state and federal agencies, academia, military and non-governmental organizations, as part of a week-long visit to the National Forests in Mississippi.

Tooke delivered a message of thanks and appreciation for the partnerships and relationships with the Forest Service and shared future insights on collaborative opportunities using tools such as stewardship contracting and the Good Neighbor Authority.

The evening was hosted by the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science and sponsored by The Nature Conservancy and Ducks Unlimited.
