IDAHO – Please join us for a webinar on Wednesday, July 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Mountain Time or Wednesday, August 29 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Mountain Time to learn about “Community Mitigation Assistance Teams” and how they can help local units build collaborative wildfire mitigation programs before, during, and/or after incidents.

The USDA Forest Service Washington Office Fire and Aviation Management Program has given the greenlight for CMATs to become national, interagency resources that are available at no cost to ordering units before, during, and after wildfires in high risk areas. During the webinars, you will learn what a CMAT is, how it might help your unit and community work more collaboratively on wildfire risk reduction, how to order a CMAT, and how to become a team member for those that are interested.

Webinar log in and call in information is located on the National Interagency Fire Center Public Information Officer Bulletin Board. These webinars will be recorded and posted within one week after completion on the NIFC PIO bulletin board.

More CMAT information available here. For additional information, contact Pam Leschak, National Wildland Urban Interface/Fire Adapted Communities program manager for WO FAM at pleschak@fs.fed.us or 208-387-5612. Thank you and hope you can join us for one of the webinars!
