USDA: October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month

National Cybersecurity Awareness Month is held each October and is a collaborative effort between government and industry to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity and to ensure that all Americans have the resources they need to be safer and more secure online.

NCSAM 2019 will emphasize personal accountability and stress the importance of taking proactive steps to enhance cybersecurity both at home and in the workplace. This year’s overarching message – Own IT. Secure IT. Protect IT. – will focus on key areas including citizen privacy, consumer devices and e-commerce security.

Deputy Secretary Censky’s National Cyber Security Awareness Month announcement tells us all about the importance of Cybersecurity in our workplace and home. Click ahead to view his message.

While having lunch in the South Building cafeteria on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the month of October, please stop by the NCSAM table and pick up some literature and additional information. Please tell your co-workers to stop by as well.
