CIO: FY2019 and FY2020 submission deadlines for Technical Approvals and Acquisition Approval Requests

The Forest Service Chief Information Office is decommissioning the TA-AAR Tool that supports the Technical Approval and Acquisition Approval Request process. After June 21, 2019, the current TA-AAR tool will not be able to accept TA or AAR requests. Please note that all remaining Fiscal Year 2019 AARs are due Friday, June 21, 2019.

What you need to know

  • Beginning Thursday, August 1, 2019, the NEW tool will be open for submissions for FY2020 TA and AAR requests
  • Starting July 14, 2019 through July 31, 2019, the new TA-AAR web application training will be available
  • In the upcoming weeks, more information about TA-AAR changes, including an AAR Process Overview and an AAR Template, will be provided           

What you need to do

  • Please submit all remaining FY2019 AARs before June 21, 2019.
  • If you are responsible for submitting AARs for IT acquisitions, please follow to the new guidelines from USDA based on the nature of the AAR:
