In support of American Diversity Month at USDA, a celebration of all who make the Department of Agriculture a great place to work, the Forest Service sponsored a panel featuring Women Wildland Firefighters.
Daily, these women demonstrate leadership and dedication as they serve the American people.
The panel took place on July 29 in Washington, D.C., at the Whitten Patio. Participants included Public Affairs Officer for Bridger-Teton National Forest Mary Cernicek, Associate Chief for the Forest Service Lenise Lago, Associate Deputy Chief State and Private Forestry Patty Hirami, National Director for Fire and Aviation Management Shawna Legarza and Associate Deputy Chief for National Forest System Tina Terrel.
