WASHINGTON, DC—As part of the OneUSDA initiative, all Forest Service employees now have a USDA email address ending in @usda.gov. You must update your signature block by Nov. 16.
Your @usda.gov address is already added to your Outlook account but isn’t immediately replacing your current Forest Service email address. For now, you’ll continue to send email using your Forest Service email. When you receive email via your new USDA address, it will route to your Forest Service account.
WASHINGTON, DC—Several initiatives underway will effect information technology services for Forest Service uses. USDA is moving all Forest Service mailboxes to the Government Community Cloud by Dec. 31.
ARIZONA—Employees with Kaibab National Forest led an effort to unify a diverse group of partners for the first-ever Arizona LiDAR symposium, held Aug. 15 in Flagstaff. Organizers brought together government agencies, nonprofits, universities and other organizations to begin to collaboratively fund the collection of this critical geographic data and guide its ultimate use in projects and partnerships statewide.
