Poa atropurpurea, San Bernardino bluegrass.
San Bernardino bluegrass, also known as Bear Valley bluegrass, in full flower. This species is dioecious, meaning that any individual plant has all staminate (male) flowers or all pistillate (female) flowers. This individual is staminate, as you can see from the pale yellow anthers, the pollen-bearing parts of the stamens, dangling from the purplish flowers.
