  • Alteration of surface water flow from roads, trails, ruts of vehicle tracks, footpaths, or mining construction, leading to dessication of its peat fen habitat
  • Plant damage or death from mining activities and off-road vehicle use
  • Localized environmental catastrophes such as fungal blight, drought, or insect Infestations, because of its small populations on specialized habitat
