Endemic to southern California, Calochortus palmeri var. munzii is known from only a few occurrences in the San Jacinto Mountains, south of Palm Springs. It is geographically isolated from typical Calochortus palmeri, which grows in southern California mountains to the north and west of the San Jacintos. Photo by Jordan Zylstra.
