  • Plants are easily uprooted and do not survive when their habitat is disturbed
  • Heightened interest in hiking along with influx of mountain-bikers to the area has resulted in increased trampling and disturbance of the plant and its habitat
  • Heavy cattle use in part of its range
  • Concerns in Colorado are unknown
