Boating On Pineview

BOATING ON PINEVIEW RESERVOIR

Pineview Reservoir is the busiest reservoir for it's size in the State of Utah. This is because of it's close proximity to Davis and Weber Counties population centers. You can leave your home and be at the water's edge within one-half hour.

The scenery around Pineview is worth the visit. Seeing the mountains from the surface of the water is an experience to remember. Boating laws are enforced by Utah Parks and Recreation.

Port Ramp Marina

Located on the west shoreline of the reservoir, this is the most used launching facility. The road into the marina has a large Forest Service sign identifying the site immediately across Highay 226. The facility has a concrete ramp to launch boats and a large paved parking lot. It also has a gravel lot used as overflow parking. Port Ramp has a wooden convenience dock for public use. There is a small store with a variety of items including gasoline sales.

Next to the public docks is a system of plastic docks for long-term storage of boats. This is operated by the concessionaire. The fenced in lot near the entry station is also for long-term boat storage.

Also for public use is a septic pumpout system which is adjacent to the long-term storage docks. This is a free service provided by the concessionaire and developed as a partnership with the Ogden Yacht Club, Division of Wildlife Resources, and the Forest Service. Help keep the water clean!

Bluffs Marina

Bluffs Marina, also known as Cemetary Point, is located near the town of Huntsville. To access the facility, follow Highway 39 to the eastern side of Huntsville. Follow the signs to the swim beach. Bluffs is at the end of the road thru Huntsville.

The marina is the first entryway with a fee station. This marina is fairly simple with a small paved parking area, a larger gravel parking lot, and a Snack Bar operated by the Concessionaire. This snack bar services a lunch menu, ice cream, soft drinks, and snacks.
