New Construction

Construction of an Arch Culvert

Construction of an arch culvert. Notice the alignment to the natural drainage in slope and aspect. The inlet has been armored with sacks of quikrete while the outlet has been armored with Sutter Wall (a type of retaining wall).

Installation of an Overside Drain and Flume

Notice the rolling dip that has been constructed to divert the water from the trail into the overside drain.

Installation of an Underside Drain

The inlet has been bowled to accommodate the drainage and armored with quikrete sacks. The trail has been stabilized with Sutter wall. The outlet has been extended with an energy dissipater installed.

Installation of a Turf Block

Installation of turf block in order to harden the trail tread.& Notice the slope that the blocks were laid, in order to counter the momentum of wheeled off road vehicles (a supered turn) while allowing proper drainage of water. Also, the first few rows of blocks were buried in the ground in descending angles in order to anchor the blocks resting above and to give a smooth transition onto the trail.

The turn has been graded and prepped with the block being installed.
