Case Study: TEAMS Implementation, TEAMS Planning, and the San Bernardino NF partnered with the Angeles Oaks community to reduce excessive fuels and execute a comprehensive community protection plan.

TEAMS Implementation provided a full project crew to layout, mark, and cruise the project. In addition, they assisted with a timber sale contract and service contract administration. The project included prescribed burning, aerial and ground based logging, fuel break creation, public chipping sites, and brush removal. Special marking prescriptions were used to identify the cut trees while maintaining the visual quality of the area. Most importantly, TEAMS crew members interacted with residents on a daily basis to keep them informed and discuss the project.
