Experience
Camilo has over 6 years of Forest Service working experience in the water resources, hydraulic modeling and ecosystem restoration fields. Camilo has worked throughout the US mainly as a Hydrologist with the USFS TEAMS Enterprise Unit. Project work has included large scale timber sales, fuels reductions, grazing permitting, mining explorations, and several forest health projects. Camilo has also collaborated in several stream restoration projects throughout Alaska, Washington, and Oregon, developing open channel hydraulic models to support engineering designs. Camilo is also a NASA-Doctoral Fellow at Florida International University, where his research includes developing a coupled hydro-vegetation numerical model to assess restoration alternatives of wetland ecosystems.
