Clemson University and USDA Forest Service: Special Recognition for Outstanding Performance on the Recreation Management Short Course Field Project (Evaluation of Thirteen Historic Buildings for Adaptive Use)

Experience

Julie started her career with the Forest Service in 1977, working on an engine crew (“tanker” crew back then). She moved on to timber presale, becoming a certified cruiser in western Oregon, and after three years, moved on to silviculture. In 1987, she took a Shipley Associates NEPA course--was immediately hooked --and serendipitously, a timber planner position became available. Julie worked in planning as a team leader and as a District integrated resource planning staff for 16 years.

Prior to joining TEAMS, Julie was a District public service staff officer, overseeing recreation, wilderness, trails and recreation special uses.

Julie joined TEAMS in 2009.
