Experience

Janel started her career working for Boise Cascade Company as an area forester in Idaho. After a short time in the Marine Corps, she began working for the Forest Service in Region 4 as a forester and then in Region 6 as an interdisciplinary team leader. With a desire to return to Idaho, she accepted a position with the Coeur d’Alene Tribe as a forest manager.

Following a 14 years absence from the Forest Service, she returned to Region 6 as the Umatilla National Forest’s environmental coordinator. She has led many planning teams, and has written a variety of environmental documents for diverse range of projects.

Janel started working for TEAMS in 2009.
