Experience
Jodi has worked with the Forest Service since 1980 with most of her career in public involvement. She has worked in Forest Service Regions 1, 2, 6, 9, and 10. Her work experience includes interpreter, visitor center director, exhibit design and fabrication, content analysis, forest plan revision public affairs officer (PAO), travel management plan collaborator, planning record administration and other tasks such as budget, purchasing, travel, etc. Most recently projects she has worked on include:
- Kootenai and Idaho Panhandle National Forests Forest Plan Revision (2001 – 2009): As the PAO, she designed and implemented an in-depth collaborative strategy for each phase of the revision process which included methods such as workgroups by geographic area and issue, open houses, field trips, etc. Jodi has worked extensively with elected officials, state and federal agencies, and media in three states; and seven tribal governments.
- Travel management planning on the Idaho Panhandle National Forest (2008 and 2009): As a PAO, Jodi designed and implemented an in-depth collaborative strategy to develop travel management plans for each zone on the National Forest which included focus groups.
- Off-highway vehicle environmental impact statement with the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management for states of Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota (1998–2000): Same as above.
- National Fire Plan (NFP) implementation for Forest Service Region 1 and 4 (2000-2002): As the PAO, Jodi worked internally and externally to develop understanding of the NFP, collaboratively implemented it within communities, and worked with the State and Private Forestry branch of the Forest Service.
Jodi has worked for TEAMS since June, 2009.
