Describes how firefighters should use their fire shelter—an emergency tent made of reflective material—when they are entrapped by fire. Fire shelters have saved an estimated 250 lives and have reduced injuries in many more cases. The heavily illustrated report includes information on training, techniques to prevent entrapments, and steps to take in case of an entrapment. In addition, the report contains information on the care and inspection of fire shelters.
