Sustainable Operations Summit 2010
Leading by Example to Conserve Natural Resources
Dr. Jim Reaves, Director of Southern Research Station and Liz Agpaoa, Regional Forester Southern Region, are proud to host the 2010 Forest Service Sustainable Operations Summit-Leading by Example to Conserve Natural Resources, on November 16-18, at the Regional Office in Atlanta, Georgia.
The annual event is intended to highlight sustainable operations taking place agency-wide. Participants will learn about tools and information to establish greenpractices as part of existing business. Presentations will explore innovative sustainable projects and new technologies used across the country to implement sustainable operations initiatives.
Following the examples of the 2008 Summit in Madison, and the 2009 Summit in Portland, the 2010 Summit is planned with limited travel for this small group of onsite participants with hundreds of additional participants attending via virtual meetings technologies such as telephone conferencing, video teleconferencing, and webinar.
