Description: Two spots damaged by Tropical Storm Irene need stabilization to prevent further erosion/slumping. Trail will be moved into hillside to move it away from slump for total of about 200 feet. Rock will be used at both sites to armor slope or riverbank.
Location: UNIT - Saco Ranger District. STATE - New Hampshire. COUNTY - Carroll. LEGAL - Sabbaday Falls site is approximately 10 miles west of Conway, adjacent to the Kancamagus Highway. This restoration project is located at Sabbaday Falls Day Use Area trail to the falls. The day use area and trail would be closed during the project, which is along the Kancamagus Highway.

Description: Several eroded gullies of 2-20 feet require in-tread erosion control, rock work, & other repairs. Three sections of 100-300 feet require more intensive repair work. One eroded crossing needs a short relocation to cross the brook at a new location .
Location: UNIT - Saco Ranger District. STATE - New Hampshire. COUNTY - Grafton. Proposed trail work starts at milepoint 0.3 and continues intermittently along trail sections near Sabbaday Brook through to mile point 3.8.

Description: This trail was damaged by Tropical Storm Irene. In-tread repair of tread & steps is needed as well as drainage repairs using rock waterbars and check dams . Three short sections will require minor relocation where pieces of trail were washed out.
Location: UNIT - Saco Ranger District. STATE - New Hampshire. COUNTY - Grafton. Signal Ridge Trailhead begins on Sawyer River Road in Livermore, NH, The trail ascends Signal Ridge to summit at the top of Mt. Carrigain.
