Description: Restoration of grassland bird habitat (clearing invasive vegetation and herbicide application) on approximately 278 acres of current Department of Defense land, expected to be transferred to the US Forest Service (Midewin) in the future.
Location: UNIT - Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie All Units. STATE - Illinois. COUNTY - Will. LEGAL - T33N, R9E, Sections 2 & 11; T34N, R9E Section 35. Westside of Midewin on current Department of Defense (Army) inholdings, surrounded by National Forest System (Midewin) land. Treatment area set to be transferred to Midewin in the future.
