Description: The proposal is to issue a special use permit to the University of Wisconsin, Madison, for continued use and maintenance of an existing, 110' research tower, as well as an area within a 164' radius of the tower, for research purposes.
Location: UNIT - Watersmeet Ranger District. STATE - Michigan. COUNTY - Gogebic. LEGAL - T44N, R40W, Sec. 6, NE. The existing tower is located on the west side of Helen Lake, south of CR 535, oustide of the Sylvania Wilderness.
