New National Coordinator

Chris Moyer began his new duties in Washington, D.C. as the National Service First Coordinator in January. For the last 11 years Chris has been an integral member of an award winning Service First team charged with monitoring watershed conditions in the Pacific Northwest. As a BLM employee in Corvallis, Oregon, he has had numerous opportunities to work across agencies and land ownerships to accomplish the program mission. His early career was spent at the USDA Forest Service Pacific Northwest Research Station conducting field work and analyses related to aquatic species.

Chris graduated with Master of Science degree in Natural Resources: Fisheries from Humboldt State University in Arcata, California and a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Science from Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon.

Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his wife and children and a variety of outdoor activities on our great public lands!
