Acreage Statistics for Region 3 New Mexico National Forests

This reference relates to Region 3 New Mexico National Forest inventories conducted from 1993 to 2000.

   Apache-Sitgreaves (A-S) 0 614,202  -- The acres listed are limited to the New Mexico
      (New Mexico portion)         portion of the A-S NF. This area is administered
            by the Gila NF. An additional 2,015,720 acres
            of A-S NF lands are located in and administered
            by the Arizona portion of the A-S NF.
         
         
 Carson 1,491,485 same as adm.  -- Total acres includes a 100,000 acre land   
          donation from Vermejo Park.
       
       
 Cibola NF and Kiowa NGL 1,767,376 same as adm.  -- Total acres includes 136,417 acres from the
          Kiowa National Grassland administered by the
          Cibola NF.
       
       -- Total acres also includes 66 acres designated as
          Continental Divide TC.
       
       
 Coronado  68,936 same as adm.  -- The acres listed are limited to the New Mexico
    (New Mexico portion)         portion of the Coronado NF. An additional  
          1,718,501 acres of Coronado NF lands are
          located in and administered by the Arizona
          portion of the Coronado NF. 
       
       
 Gila 3,324,594 2,710,392  -- The New Mexico portion of the A-S NF
          (614,202 acres) is administered by the Gila NF.
