Interior West Forest Inventory & Analysis

This web page provides access to some of the IWFIA publications, summary tables, and other documentation that relate to Montana's forest resources. Refer to Publications and Reports and Tables for various summaries and reference documents. In 1988-1989, an inventory was conducted on lands outside the National Forest System. In 1993-1998, inventories were conducted for Montana's National Forests.
In 2003, implementation of annual inventories in Montana commenced on all land ownerships.
