The Lolo National Forest administers 2,079,327 acres* of land. Eight percent of the total area administered by the Lolo is in a reserved designation such as Wilderness. There were 347 FIA sample locations within the Lolo National Forest, of which 327 locations were classified as forested, 17 locations were classified as either nonforest or water, and 3 locations were inaccessible.
