Montana's Publications & Inventory Results |
The Kootenai National Forest administers a total of 2,246,495 acres* of land with 50,384 acres of this total extending into Idaho. Four percent of the total area administered by the Kootenai is in a reserved designation such as Wilderness. There were 366 FIA sample locations within the Kootenai National Forest, of which 352 locations were classified as forested, 11 locations were classified as either nonforest or water, and 3 locations were inaccessible. Note: plot locations are approximate for illustration purposes only.
