Montana's Publications & Inventory Results |
The Flathead National Forest administers 2,351,950 acres* of land. Forty-six percent of the total area administered by the Flathead is in a reserved designation such as Wilderness. There were 377 FIA sample locations within the Flathead National Forest, of which 338 locations were classified as forested, 37 locations were classified as either nonforest or water, and 2 locations were inaccessible. Note: plot locations are approximate for illustration purposes only.
