Kevin
Hyde is an information
technologist with the Economic Aspects of Forest Management on Public
Lands unit of the Rocky Mountain Research Station in Missoula, Montana.
He is involved with MAGIS modeling projects for the unit. Kevin
completed two years of natural resource conservation studies at
Cornell University before earning a liberal arts degree from Bard
College in New York, receiving recognition for academic achievement
at both schools. After careers first as a commercial diver then
as a photographer, Kevin is currently a doctoral student at the
University of Montana, Missoula, studying hydrogeomorphology. Areas
of research include post-fire erosion, the impact of dams, geomorphometric
analysis, and the architecture of hydrogeologic systems.
