Janet Sullivan, Biologist


Janet Sullivan is a Biologist with the Human Dimensions Program; She has a B.A. in biology from the University of Chicago and an M.A. in botany from the University of Montana. She started at the Forestry Sciences Lab as a computer specialist in 1996, writing user documentation and providing user support for the TSPAS (Timber Sale Planning and Analysis) software project, which was re-developed for graphical user interface in the current desktop environment, renamed PLATA (Project Level Analysis of Treatment Alternatives - an economic efficiency analysis program).

Current projects are centered around spatial decision support tool development, including ArcGIS tools, MAGIS, OptFuels, WATSED, FSWEPP-related development of MAGIS and its offshoots, as well as user-support and documentation and tech transfer activities including website development and workshops.
