The following journal articles provide background information about spatial statistical models on stream networks. Articles [1,2] are written for a statistical or quantitative ecological audience and provide technical details, as well as a discussion of spatial statistical models on stream networks. Article [3] also provides details about the spatial statistical models, but is written for an ecological audience, with numerous worked examples provided in the appendices. Article [4] provides an interesting application of the models to stream temperature data in the Boise Basin, USA.

GIS - Reconditioned NHD+ stream layers for Northwest U.S.
These NHD Plus stream hydrography layers for the Northwest U.S. have been edited and reconditioned to work consistently with the SSN package for implementing the spatial statistical stream models. Edits were performed useing the STARS toolkit and consisted of removing unconnected stream segments and reducing braided stream segments to single-threaded streams. |
