GNLCC Production Units Map

Reconditioned NHD Plus Streams

These NHD Plus stream hydrography layers for the Northwest U.S. have been edited and reconditioned to work consistently with the SSN package for implementing the spatial statistical stream models. Edits were performed using the STARS toolkit and consisted of removing unconnected stream segments and reducing braided stream segments to single-threaded streams.

 

All reconditioned streams within the Northwest U.S. are available for download by the NHD Hydrologic Region code (example of Region 17) production units and end at the US border. These hydrography layers were developed as part of a Great Northern Landscape Conservation Cooperative funded project to develop the NorWeST regional stream temperature database and model. The study area includes the GNLCC, plus western Oregon and Washington. Click here for the GNLCC boundary shapefile. All shapefiles are in GNLCC projection.
