Can the restoration project length be less than 10 years?
Answer
PL 111-11, Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009, TITLE IV--FOREST LANDSCAPE RESTORATION: “To be eligible for nomination under subsection (c), the collaborative forest landscape restoration proposal shall-
(1) Be based on a landscape strategy that:
(A) is complete or substantially complete
(B) identifies and prioritizes ecological restoration treatments for a 10-year period with a landscape…”
Based on this language, a CFLR restoration project must plan for 10 years of restoration treatments.
