What scale should the projects be identified?


Sec. 4003 (b) (1) (B) requires the landscape being restored comprise at least 50,000 acres. Proposals shall be based on a landscape restoration strategy. Projects should ensure that restoration occurs at sufficient scale consistent with the restoration strategy to appreciably improve wildfire behavior and management costs, restore natural ecosystem and watershed functions, and facilitate appropriate utilization of woody biomass and small-diameter wood.
