2006 Forest Plan Documents

Welcome!

Background

The Hiawatha National Forest published its Notice of Intent to revise its Land and Resource Management Plan (Forest Plan) in September 2003. The draft Forest Plan Revision documents were published in March 2005 and the final documents were released in May 2006.

The Notice of Availability was published in the Federal Register on May 19, 2006. Implementation of the 2006 Forest Plan will begin 30 days after the NOA is published. In addition, a legal notice was published in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on May 22, 2006 which launched the beginning of the 90-day appeal period.

The final Forest Plan Revision documents can be accessed below. They have been converted to a PDF format and you will need Adobe Reader to open these documents. This free software can be downloaded at: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.
