District Ranger David Silvieus has signed a Decision Notice and Finding of No Significant Impact for the Stockyard Stewardship project. Alternative 2 was selected and includes widening fuelbreaks, creating a pine/oak savannah, timber harvesting, reforestation activities, wildlife habitat improvements, and the relocation of a short segment of FR8252. The project areas is located in T40N, R21W, Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 17, and 18; T40N, R22W, Sections 13 and 24; and T41N, R21W, Sections 11, 12, 33, and 34.
