District Ranger Teresa Chase is accepting comments on the Grand Island National Recreation Area Burn Project. The project is proposing to use fire to treat a small, 1.29 acre disturbed opening on Grand Island National Recreation Area (NRA) to remove non-native invasive plant species (NNIP) including spotted knapweed, St. Johnswort, Canada thistle, timothy and orchard grass. The project is located in Alger County, Michigan.
