District Ranger Teresa Chase is accepting comments on the Beech Bark Disease (BBD) Project. The project is proposing to harvest timber to respond to the advancing front of the beech bark disease (BBD). Proposed activities include vegetation management using individual tree selection and shelterwood treatments, as well as some transportation system changes. The project is located in Delta, Alger and Schoolcraft Counties, Michigan.
