Secure Rural Schools Advisory Committee

The White Mountain National Forest is seeking volunteers to serve on a Resource Advisory Committees being formed for Oxford County, Maine. This Committees will be responsible for making recommendations to the Forest Service on Title II projects funded with Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act payments.

  • Committee members must be residents of Maine.
  • Selected applicants must pass a background check.
  • Appointments are for 4 years (or less if Title II funds are exhausted).
  • This is not a paid position; however, members may be reimbursed for travel expenses to meetings.
  • The Committee will be comprised of 15 members representing a broad spectrum of interests.
