Harris Branch EA

The Shawnee National Forest proposes to remove 40-60 percent of the non-native shortleaf pine overstory in Compartment 31, Stand 24, (T11S, R8E, sections 13 and 24), about 200 acres. The action proposed by the Forest Service is to use a commercial timber sale to harvest some overstory non-native pine, allowing for natural release of existing oak and hickory seedlings and saplings.
