Current Conditions

Status of Developed Recreation Areas on the Hidden Springs Ranger District: Recreation areas on the Hidden Springs Ranger District were impacted by the ice storm of February 2009. Clearing these areas for visitor use is a time consuming task. Some areas received extensive storm damage and therefore remain closed

We appreciate the public's patience and hope to have the remainder of our recreation areas open soon. For further information call (618) 658-2111

  • Closed Duck Bay Group Camping Area (Lake Glendale Recreation Area) - Extensive storm damage remains, check with camp host.
  • Closed Pine Point Fishing Pier (Lake Glendale Recreation Area) - Severe storm damage, the back half of the picnic area, and the pier remains closed.
