Pine Ridge Recreation Area

The pine trees at the site, planted by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930’s, provide a pine experience not commonly found north of the Missouri River. The trailhead for the Cedar Creek Trail is located at the east end of the recreation site.

Area Attractions:

Facilities: The campground has six single sites and two group sites. Tables, pedestal grills, fire rings, drinking water, and a vault toilet are available at Pine Ridge. Two spurs offer adequate space for trailers, but there are no hook-ups for water, electricity, or sewage. Four picnic sites with grills and fire rings are available for people who want to visit for a just few hours or a day. One picnic site and the path to the toilet are paved and accessible to persons in wheelchairs. Large grassy areas can accommodate small groups such as scouts.
