Carrington Pits Recreation Area

Carrington Pits Recreation Area offers fishing in approximately four acres of abandoned coal mining pits that are stocked with largemouth bass, sunfish and channel catfish. Accessible fishing piers and trail provide access to the water, or a small boat or canoe can be launched at the gravel ramp.

Picnic Area: 4 picnic tables with firerings and grills, drinking water and toilet. Accessible trail around fishing area leads to two fishing piers.

How to get there:

Carrington Pits is open year round.
