Pete's Lake Recreation Area

Pete's Lake Campground is located about 12 miles south of Munising on FH-13. The campground entrance is approximately 1/3 mile east of FH-3 on FR-2173.

Surrounded by many lakes, this recreation area offers much in the way of camping, hiking, fishing, swimming, boating, and picnicking. All roads are black topped (perfect for bike riding).

Camping
The campground has 41 sites. All are spacious, forested, and private. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and grill. Vault toilets and drinking water sources are conveniently located throughout the campground. The campground will accommodate the handicapped.

Picnic/Swimming Area
There are two picnic areas with tables and grills settled comfortably beneath large shade trees. Each area has a beautiful view of Pete's Lake. The 190-acre lake is clean and clear and the swimming area has a beautiful sandy beach. There are change houses and restrooms available, as well as a large conveniently located parking lot.

Hiking
Bruno's Run Hiking Trail winds through the northern and eastern edges of Pete's Lake. The entire 7-mile hiking loop passes by several lakes and the Indian River. This campground is an ideal place to use as a home base while exploring the trail.

Fishing
Fishing is available at Pete's Lake for northern pike, smallmouth bass, and pan fish.

Boating
The boat ramp has a large parking lot as well as a turn-around area for safe and easy access to the lake.

General Information
A convenience store with camping supplies, fishing, and hunting equipment, and gasoline, is located south of the campground entrance. Pete's Lake Campground is a fee area and is operated and maintained by a private concessionaire. Golden Passports are accepted.
